Here we get the chance to read all about the ex – girlfriends and ex-wife, renamed the ex-files. Was Steve the unluckiest man alive? Now 20 years old, I was hearing about ex girlfriend number 1, Steve bought a house with this one, lets call her Alison. Alison was described as a pretty girl, the same age as Steve, I think they met through friends and were together for a few years (even being a clever girl, I didn’t think to question the amount of time Steve spent with these women). They had spent time on holiday in the Balearics and generally had a good time. They split up because Steve had come home from work and found Alison in bed with another man, a man whom she is still with today. Steve didn’t go into much more detail other than they split and she took him to court as they couldn’t agree with how to split the money from the house. Im not sure why Steve felt the need to tell me this, was it because he wanted me to understand him and how he was, his views on children and getting married? Was it because he wanted me to feel sorry for him? Was this also the first red flag I missed, that I didn’t want to see at the time? I mean, who describes their ex as a ‘Jennifer Aniston’ look alike to their new girlfriend?
